Northstar Appraisals was founded by Thomas Torok, CRA who spent 24 years in the real estate appraisal industry. Over the years he worked for the vast majority of the banks, credit unions and equity lenders in Ontario. Northstar Appraisals is on the list of the approved appraisers of Brookfield RPS, Nationwide Appraisals, Solidifi and FCT. Although many banks require the appraisals to be ordered through an AMC, there are still several lenders (for example First National) that don't insist on the use of Appraisal Management Companies. Before ordering an appraisal, kindly check with your underwriter if the appraisal done directly by us will be accepted.
